Human Factors and Ergonomics Society 52nd Annual Meeting


Ron Stevens, Director of the IMMEX Project presented findings at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society 52nd Annual Meeting in New York.
The session titled: FOUNDATIONS OF AUGMENTED COGNITION was chaired by Joseph Cohn, DARPA; & cochair: Sherry Ogreten, U. of Central Florida Inst. for Simulation and Training.

New Version of IMMEX


A new version of IMMEX is now available to the general public immediately at the time of this announcement. The IMMEX Research and Development team has been hard at work to bring some new features and enhancements to our users. The most notable feature is our new Digital Dashboard that will enable teachers to view an instant snapshot of how the students are progressing in each class. Other enhancements include improved performance, more flexible Staging, and even more robust security.

PROBLEM SET OF THE MONTH - September 2008


Paul's Pepperoni Pizza
Each month IMMEX will highlight a problem set that has significant research data and/or potential.
This month's selection is designed for 3rd grade math students but is often used as an introductory problem for more advanced students.
There are nine cases in the problem set which ask the student to determine how many pizzas were ordered for the Stinger's baseball team. Sometimes you're given the size of the pizzas, sometimes not, which adds a degree of difficulty. Other factors must be considered in order to calculate a solution.
